Gold Wai Sar Group Co., Ltd is using the Ribbed Smoked Sheet (RSS) method instead of using Air Dried Sheet (ADS) method in their raw rubber processing mill. RSS uses smoke provide in a smokehouse with temperature up to 60̊ C. The principle of the design of smokehouse is to eliminate as much as possible manhandling of sheets. The smoke chambers are on Ground Level, so that the trolleys can be loaded with sheets in the factory and then transported into the smoke chambers. The smokeing process in the Smokehouse is basically a continuous process. Rubber sheet processing is started from natural latex collection in the field. It is then diluted and screened before the addition of formic acid for coagulation process. The specific smell of smoked sheet is caused by the wood, coal and other organic materials such as coconut shells used to produce the smoke. In Gold Wai Sar’s raw rubber processing mill, they are using the coal to make up the temperature up to 60̊ C and able to get the smoked sheet without any smoke colour “black” stained in the rubber sheet.
Our rubber processing mill build in 2011 and started its operation in 2012 and currently producing 7-8 tonnes per day of processed rubber.
